This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting the satisfaction of fishery workwear by surveying fishers engaged in fishing. The significance of the study was to suggest a direction for the development of fishery workwear. In this study, a survey was conducted targeting fishery workers in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Satisfaction with fishery workwear was divided into functional satisfaction and convenience satisfaction. Factors affecting the satisfaction of fishery workwear were classified into ease of body movement, material, and clothing fit factors. The ease of body movement factor was divided into the upper and lower body. The material factor was material properties and durability, and clothing fit factors were divided into upper body, lower body, and pocket. Among the satisfaction of fishery workwear, it was analyzed that functional satisfaction was correlated with material properties, pocket fit, ease of body movement factor in the upper body and the lower body. Convenience satisfaction was closely related to the functionality and durability of the material. Satisfaction was high when the material was breathable, absorbed sweat well, and stretchable. Unlike the previous clothing satisfaction studies, this study is meaningful because it extracts the factors affecting the satisfaction of fishery workwear and analyzes how they are related to satisfaction.
