This study aims to explore how to help middle aged women, who can overcome their anxiety. In this society, called the era of new anxiety, many people are suffering from “anxiety disorder.” This is because social anxiety and personal anxiety occur simultaneously. The entire generation, not only for a specific age group, experiences anxiety, but even for adults, they are immature in dealing with it. The middle of adulthood can be said to be the time when anxiety appears. Developmental anxiety that appears in middle age, that is, anxiety about aging and death, causes existential anxiety. Moreover, changes in family relations in middle age and rapidly changing societies, especially fendemics, can cause “pan-anxiety disorders” by deepening social anxiety. Karl Gustaf Jung suggests that while it is disturbing because the opposite aspect of personality emerges in middle age, it is possible to move toward a complete personality when integrating the unconscious shadows of individuals and society. James Lauder, on the other hand, saw Jung’s proposal as religious, but not theological, and only self-transformation through Christ’s intervention was a theological interpretation. However, he agreed that middle age, when the existential anxiety of aging and death emerges, is a time when religious and spiritual education is needed more than ever. Unconscious anxiety in middle age emerges through trauma. Therefore, if you reflect on the trauma that appears through physical signs and emotional upheaval, you can face individuals, families, and social and cultural shadows. This study proposes spiritual writing by integrating trauma with anxiety in middle-aged women and helping self-transformation. The important object relationship in spiritual writing education is Trinity God. And the ultimate purpose is to allow middle-aged women to overcome anxiety, to experience self-transformation and to go forward for whole personality by spiritual writing. This study takes such this issue into account based on literature and empirical researches. Although this study has some weakness, it could encourage study how to develop ability which can control their anxiety, developmental trauma and how to transform their self for middle aged women in their faith.
