Objective: The aim of present study was to develop an IMU-based three-dimension (3D) pelvic motion measurement system that can work on Android tablet devices. Background: Every country is experiencing the aging population and increasing number of patients suffering from the joint diseases. The most common form of arthritis is osteoarthritis (OA), and total hip arthroplasty (THA) is recognized as reliable surgery with the high satisfaction and relative success rate. Even though, the failure rate of total hip arthroplasty surgeries is up to 10% following primary surgery and 28% after revision arthroplasty. Method: In order to achieve the higher accuracy, anterior pelvic plane (APP) can be used as an anatomical reference for the navigation system during THA.
