COVID-19 is reshaping industries around the world. There are also industries that are severely hit by restrictions on movement, such as aviation and tourism. The beauty industry is also being affected in a number of ways in the short term. For example, sales of color cosmetics and perfume are declining, while sales of skin care and personal hygiene products are increasing. However, the beauty industry is an industry that has resilience to social crises. Therefore, examining the impact of COVID-19 and countermeasures after the end is an important research task at this time. In particular, attention should be paid to changes in sales channels in the beauty industry, digital transformation, and changes in consumption patterns, and countermeasures should be prepared. This study examines the impact of COVID-19 on the beauty industry and draws countermeasures accordingly, with implications for beauty companies, including securing flexibility in production lines, establishing clean beauty, securing sustainability, Strategic necessity, such as responding to digitalization, was emphasized. It is expected that Korean beauty companies will make a soft landing in the new market order and the status of K-beauty will be further strengthened.
