This paper studied address terms for their spouses and honorifics of <do you have?(있는가?)> in the view of gender inequality for 460 married men and women living in capital areas of Korea and Japan, and the main contents are the following. (1) There is an asymmetric honorific between husbands and wives in both Korea and Japan that more husbands tend to call their wives with exclamations like ‘Eo-ee! (hey!)’ or 「おい」 than wives, and more wives tend to call their husbands with personal pronoun like ‘Si(氏)’ or ‘San(さん)’. (2) To study the usage of predicate parts, ‘Do you have?’ of “Do you have any schedule in this weekend?”, in case of Korean, they use ‘hae-style’ when they are alone, but when they are in front of their children of parents-in-law they hardly use ‘hae-style’, instead they use ‘haeyo-style’ nearly double amount. In case of Japan, in all three scenes more wives tend to use polite-style (arimasuka) than husbands though they don’ use honorifics between family members. It showed that 22.9% of wives answered that they use polite-style (arimasuka) especially in front of parents-in-law, and there are some degree of gender inequality in use of language between husbands and wives even in Japanese society using relative honorifics.
