The purpose of this study is to research the relationships between goal-achievement propensity and physical confidence of Taekwondo poomsae players, in order to present an efficient goal-achievement propensity to maximize the physical confidence of Taekwondo poomsae players. The researchers and their assistants visited universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do and Gangwon-do to explain the purpose of this research to respondents. After sufficiently explaining the questionnaires, the respondents filled out the questionnaires themselves, and they were collected immediately. Out of 366 collected sheets, 11 sheets were excluded and 355 sheets were used for the research. To measure goal-achievement propensity of Taekwondo poomsae players, questions related to task-oriented inclination and ego-oriented inclination was asked. To measure physical confidence of Taekwondo poomsae players, questions related to perceived physical ability and physical self-expression ability were asked. Validity analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and factor analysis were conducted, using Window SPSS ver. 18.0. Also, structural equation modelling analysis was carried out by using AMOS ver. 18.0. Results from the empirical analysis are as follows: First, the task-oriented inclination in the goal-achievement propensity have positive effect on the perceived physical ability in the physical confidence. Second, the task-oriented inclination in the goal-achievement propensity have positive effect on the physical self-expression ability in the physical confidence. Third, the ego-oriented inclination in the goal-achievement propensity have positive effect on the perceived physical ability in the physical confidence. Fourth, the ego-oriented inclination in the goal-achievement propensity have positive effect on the physical self-expression ability in the physical confidence.
