The purpose of the study was to investigate the impact of CEO’s value on the firm performance and the moderating role of company age, and mediating effect of value congruence. We hypothesized that CEO’s innovativeness and collectivism were posivitely related to the firm performance and that company age would moderate the relationship between CEO’s value and firm performance, and also that value congruence would mediate the relationship between CEO’s value and firm performance. The findings of the study are as follows: first, we found that CEO’s innovativeness was positively associated with firm performance while there was no significant relationship between CEO’s collectivism and firm performance. Second, the empirical data showed that there were no significant moderating effect of company age on the relationship between CEO’s value and firm performance. Third, we identified that value congruence was positively related to the firm performance. Forth, we found that value congruence mediated the relationship between CEO’s innovativeness and firm performance. Theoretical and practical implications, and future research directions were discussed based on the study results.
