In order to improve quality of health care services, it requires consistent interactions among management systems, processes and facilities and infrastructure that can meet customer needs by considering individual's physical and psychological characteristics. Customer safety also needs to be ensured in improving the quality of health care services. In this study, an integrated approach of QFD (Quality Function Deployment) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) were proposed that could satisfy both customer's needs and the safety. The example of integrated QFD/FMEA case describes how to apply QFD and FMEA to health care services through multidisciplinary teamwork. The results of this study will bring the benefit to establish a safety management process to support efficient management of management systems, processes and facilities and infrastructure from the early stages of decision making in the field of healthcare services.
