This paper compared Heuksando dialect with 80's Heuksando dialect and the vicinity dialect of Sinan areas and then examined the alternation of ending ‘-əX’ in Heuksando Dialect. In the present Heuksando dialect, in the case of the stem-syllable ended in vowels and a type of ‘아으’. joined with ending ‘-əX’. In the case of the stem-syllable ended in consonants and a type of ‘아, 애’, usually joined with ending ‘-əX’, but in a type of ‘오’ joined with ending ‘-aX’. In a type of ‘아’ and ‘ㅂ’ irregular verbs joined with ending ‘-aX’, either. In the 80's Heuksando dialect, in the case of the stem-syllable ended in vowels and the stem that second-syllable is a negative vowel we cannot know the alternation of ending ‘-a/əX’ because there isn’t the kind of the date. However, we can guess that it will join with ending ‘-əX’ through the present Heuksando dialect and the vicinity dialect of Sinan area. In the case of the stem-syllable ended in consonants and a type of ‘아, 애’, joined with ending ‘-əX’ well. But according to the words, joined with ending ‘-aX’. The alternation of ending ‘-əX’ in Heuksando dialect is higher than that of 80's Heuksando dialect. To join with ending ‘-əX’ is becoming common in the Jeonnam dialects, To join with ending ‘-əX’ is becoming common in Heuksando dialect.
