This study examines the formation of Baemyungkyun's Sanjo-chum. Baemyungkyun's Sanjo-chum was formed on the basis of musical understanding, dance-method based on somatic understanding, and literary and pictorial imagination. The Sanjo-chum originated from Baemyungkyun shows an artistic variety in its accelerating rhythms through Jinyang-Jungmory-Jungjungmory-Jajinmory. Jinyang suggests a disciplined form. Jungmory suggests inartificial and cool charm, Jungjungmory produces woman's Bloom. E. S.ing color, and Jajinmory joy and euphoria. Baemyungkyun's Sanjo-chum shows the disciplined beauty in upper body harmonious with the beats and melody, which is not manipulated by emotions. That is the realization of so called ‘the principle of a plant’ under which Baemyungkyun considers feet as root and upper body as Bloom. E. S.ing flower. As ‘joy’ and ‘euphoria’ are also based on discipline, Sanjo-chum has the quality of clarity and purity. The Sanjo-chum develops a series of movements including of feet (Jinyang), of knees (Jungmory), and of waist (Jungjungmory). The changes of movements are expressed as unique Korean images and the lines in dance by literary and pictorial imagination based on the somatic understanding. The beats as the core and melody colored by the beats are completed in the movements of both upper body and lower body based on the understanding of each part of the whole body. The reason of the fact that the performance by the Baemyungkyun School is widely loved is its disciplined emotion and posture, and euphoria that is transcended by the discipline
