The inter-industrial inducement effects of the Korean fishing industry on the production, value-added, and imports of 384 industrial sectors of the Korean economy have been estimated by the inter-industry analysis with the ‘2014 Input-Output Statistics’, which was published recently in November 11, 2016 by the Bank of Korea. The Korean fishing industry produced ₩5,134 billion worth of fish catching and ₩2,237 billion worth of aquaculture industry in the year 2014. Fish catching industry induced ₩3,695 billion worth of output, ₩2,822 billion worth of value-added, and ₩1,712 billion worth of imports as a whole. Aquaculture industry induced ₩2,104 billion worth of output, ₩1,804 billion worth of value-added, and ₩560 billion worth of imports as a whole. Accordingly, the production inducement multiplier, value-added multiplier, and imports inducement multiplier of the fish catching industry are estimated 0.72, 0.55, 0.33 respectively and those of the aquaculture industry are estimated 0.94, 0.81, 0.25 respectively.
