The aim of this study is to compare domestic and international research trends in the field of developmental disability by conducting the keyword network analysis on domestic and international literature collected on the subject of developmental disability. The databases used for retrieving literature to be analyzed were Korea Citation Index (KCI) for domestic literature and Web of Science Core Collection (WoC) for overseas literature. In order to retrieve literature in the field of developmental disability, '발달장애(developmental disability)' was used as the keyword in research title on KCI, and 'developmental disability' was used as the keyword in topic on WoC. The search period for published papers was set from 2014 to 2018. As a result of the search, 393 cases of domestic literature and 5,876 cases of overseas literature were selected for the final analysis. Keywords were extracted from both KCI and WoC literature. After filtering the extracted keywords, 71 keywords showing 3 or more occurrence frequency in KCI papers and 88 keywords showing 11 or more occurrence frequency in WoC papers were selected for final analysis. The results of the keyword network analysis were as follows. First, in the network analysis, 15 clusters for domestics papers and 20 clusters for overseas papers were formed through Pathfinder Network and Parallel Nearest Neighbor Clustering. Second, it was found through KCI subject field classification that domestic research related to developmental disability is conducted in fields such as social welfare, special education, and lifelong education. It was also found through WoC subject field classification that overseas research related to developmental disability is actively conducted in fields such as social welfare, education, science and technology and information technology. Third, core keywords commonly found in domestic and overseas research in the field of developmental disability were 'education', 'behavior', 'family' and 'participation'. Fourth, it was found that the emerging cluster in the domestic research trends in developmental disability is the gender and lifelong education cluster, while the emerging cluster in the overseas research trends is the science & technology and IT cluster.
