Asakawa Takumi’s knowledge of how to observe the mountains, learn how to follow nature’s principles, and enter people’s lives and become interested in their lifestyles and tools is very important. The exact understanding of nature’s reason and the quality of the household goods is the world of Intimacy, which was discovered by the eyes of the living. The world of Intimacy may have been the value that Asakawa Takumi wanted. It is his diary that his vision of the world came out in detail, dreaming of a Christian community that would adapt to nature’s principles and respect for others rather than prioritize difficult doctrines. Takumi was either a “heart to stick to across the Korea-Japan Channel” or a “close and warm” heart that crossed the boundary. It is not enough to describe craftsmanship as a great man who has practiced universal and humane ideas and worldview. He has a good sense of balance in thinking and acting from the other person’s point of view through the concept of love for humanity, which is acquired through intense religious awareness of the relationship between himself and God, and through everyday dialogue with Koreans. Takumi also had a kind of severity in which he always doubted and corrected his own judgments and thoughts. In this paper, the art education of the Shishu Shirakaba schools, including Yanagi Muneyoshi in the 1920s, and the art education of the Shishu Shirakaba schools, including Akahane Ohuro. I summarized the activities of the Asakawa brothers in Korea, such as collecting folk crafts. In conclusion, it has been revealed that idealists who belonged to the Shirakaba magnetic field in the 1920s were recognized as spaces where their dreams and ideals were put into practice, assuming that Korea was a kind of utopia.
