Abstract: Since 1990s the process of globalization has had a great influence on the development of Lingnan Culture. The expansion of capital and the integration of the global economy will inevitably form cultural appeals, which will weaken the original diversity of the Lingnan Culture and make the homogenization characteristics of western culture more and more obvious. However, because globalization is not a homogeneous and identical process, it presents a staggered and unbalanced situation, which makes the Lingnan Culture still maintain its own characteristics. The position of the center and the edge in the cultural pattern is not eternal. The edge culture has its own unique vitality and can become the spiritual and emotional sustenance of people in specific areas. Culture has three different levels of material, system and spirit. On the one hand, the Lingnan Culture should face the strong impact of globalization. On the one hand, it should be based on the principles of developing economy and science and technology. On the other hand, it should adhere to the cultural characteristics of the nation and region, learn from each other's strengths, and develop in the process of integration.
