Urban-scale district unit planning can result in creating a physical environment where if problems arise on individual lots within blocks connected to streets, it may be difficult to cope with them. The longitudinal slope of the street where parking and walking entry are directly connected to the land determines the design to match the height of the land with the front of the building. Even if the height of the boundary of the adjacent land on the heavily tilted block differs enough to interfere with walking, the building plan is legitimate if the slope of the parking lot connected to the individual land is compliant with the regulations related to the handicapped. Even if the building plan does not deviate from these regulations, it is likely to follow the minimum regulations. Therefore, pedestrians and parking lot users will suffer from inconvenience. In this study, we selected two store housing complexes with different slopes in the complex and examined the status of the complex after completion of construction. We analyzed how the slope determined in the district unit planning affected the construction of individual lots from the perspective of parking and walking and would like to suggest improvements that can be applied to future plans.
