This study aims to investigate the factors of EFL college students’ demotivation and remotivation in learning English by students’ levels. To achieve the goal of this research, the researcher conducted the survey of 149 students from three different levels of classes(low, intermediate, and advanced level classes) and analyzed their responses. The results showed that ‘difficulty of studying English’ and ‘fear of learning English’ were the main factors of EFL college students’ demotivation, which were statistically significant among the three different levels. While ‘awareness of the importance of English’ and ‘desire to be good at English’ were the major factors of EFL college students’ remotivation. In particular, ‘the learners’ experience of success’ was statistically significant among three different levels. Based on the research results, it is crucial to help students get remotivated in learning English. This study suggests further research for various factors on students’ motivation according to their levels of English ability.
