Pathogenic fungi can be a major threat to crop production and food safety by causing crop diseases and food poisoning. To control the growth of pathogenic fungi, chemical substances such as synthetic fungicides are commonly utilized. However, the excessive use of chemical fungicide has resulted in the emergence of fungicide-resistant fungi and negative effects on the environment and human health.
