Estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer accounts for about 70% of all breast cancer. A human-estrogen receptor alpha 36 (hER-α36) could become a new target to treat ER+ breast cancers. A single-chain fragment variable (scFv) can be used for targeted cancer treatment due to its strengths in bacterial expression and high specificity. Herein, we cloned and produced the recombinant anti-hER-α36 scFv in Escherichia coli.
