Porous polyimide (PI) foam is widely used as an insulating material in various fields such as automobile, semiconductor, and aerospace due to its excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties, and insulating properties. We recently reported a method for manufacturing composite PI foam with very high porosity of 74% or more using a solution process-based high internal phase Pickering emulsion (HIPPE) technique.
