Report Errors
Welfare state and welfare society should be harmonized. They need each other. States started to deliver social welfare where families, communities, and churches could not provide enough welfare during industrialization era. After World War the Western states began to monopolize social welfare. And welfare state without welfare society resulted in significant deficit finance. After welfare state crisis civil society became more active. Welfare states began to recognize the need of welfare society. Korea don’t have to follow Western welfare states’ example. Korea has to combine welfare state and welfare society before it is too late.
