The research is an action research that discusses the significance of and method for Japanese language education practice that connects with society through industry-academia collaboration. Japanese language education practice that connects with society is a project-based learning for Japanese language education that is based on a sociocultural approach, regards learning as embedded in society, and designs Japanese language learning through social participation. Moreover, it implies a connection with future society. In other words, it considers the aspect of career education. A great potential lies in industry-academia collaboration on such a project. Thus, the study introduces “Multicultural co-existence propmotion project” as a collaboration between Musashino Art University and Casio Computer Co., Ltd. and discusses the outcome of the project. And finally, I argues that relational resilience and action research are essential in practicing Japanese language education that connects with society.
