This study was conducted to provide basic data for efficient human management and management efficiency for improving job satisfaction by examining the effect of hair designer's resilience on job satisfaction and confirming the mediating effect of grit in the relationship between resilience and job satisfaction. For the study, 210 questionnaires were distributed and collected from July 15 to August 10, 2019 to hairdressers with more than two years of industrial experience, and a total of 203 copies were used for analysis, excluding unscrupulous responses. To analyze the collected data, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and one-way variance analysis were performed using SPSS 26.0K, and the mediating effect was tested by applying Process Macro Model 4. As a result of analyzing the difference in resilience according to the general characteristics of hairdressers, it was found that the higher the education level, the higher the work experience, the higher the resilience. As a result of analyzing the difference in grit according to general characteristics, the grit of hairdressers was found to be higher as the age of the hairdresser was older and as the experience of working in the beauty industry increased. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of grit between resilience and job satisfaction, resilience has a significant effect on grit, grit has a significant effect on job satisfaction, and the total effect of the path between resilience and job satisfaction is more than the direct effect. It was verified that grit plays a mediating role between resilience and job satisfaction. Therefore, it is considered that the industry needs to develop and operate various programs that can improve grit in order to improve the job satisfaction of hairdressers.
