In this study, we investigated the anti-aging effects related autophagy of herbal mixture hydrolyzed extract ripened at low temperature. We were confirmed to the hydrolyzed proteins in the herbal mixture extract through SDS-PAGE. Comparing the skin efficacy according to the extracts, the hydrolyzed extract ripened at low temperature inhibited the matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) expression than the water extract, and the procollagen type 1 production promotion ability was also excellent. The autophagy effects of hydrolyzed extract was increased the expression of ATGs and LC3 genes activity. It was confirmed to be the decrease of MMP-1 expression treated Bafilomycin A1 exposure. We were also inhibited the senescence of skin cells by beta-galactosidase staining. Therefore, the herbal mixture hydrolyzed extract at low temperature is expected to be widely used as anti-aging effects on autophagy in cosmetic material for the skin.
