The secondary industrial facilities, which were used to revitalize the economy during the industrial period, have lost their unique functions and degraded into old industrial facilities due to the industrial structure change that includes development of information and communication, deindustrialization, and the advancement of the fourth industries. These old industrial facilities had a negative impact on urban development, which required solutions such as recycling buildings and urban regeneration to improve urban maintenance and environment. In other words, such buildings are reborn as a space with new modern functions suitable for modern purposes by utilizing all or part of the building design without harming major architectural features. Such new spaces can play the role of a local hub for art and cultural activities. Convergence is the creative renovation of old industrial facilities into a new space. This study analyzes the judgment of what to leave behind and what to recreate by applying the spatial characteristics of skeuomorphism. Based on this background, the sewing factories (outdated industrial facilities), which were once the center of sewing and fashion industry, are planned to be renovated into a value-oriented regeneration space that can restore local identity. In addition, it plans to create a fashion-specific startup complex so that various processes of fashion can be concentrated in one platform and the necessary infrastructure can be efficiently provided by applying the characteristics of skeuomorphism to the indoor spaces of outdated industrial facilities.
