This study examined the effects of emotional intelligence, clarity of emotional awareness, and empathy according to the personality psychology and healing psychology with film, which are created as liberal arts courses. The participants were 145 students with a healing psychology with film and 117 students with a personality psychology. The former was processed focusing on theory and practice and they were asked to submit descriptions in accordance with the structured question after watching a movie along with the theory learned at each class. The latter was processed focusing on theory, and they were also asked to submit one or two descriptions based on short structured questions after watching instructional videos each class. As a result, the level of emotional intelligence, understanding of self-sensitivity, and utilization of sensitivity for the whole group improved. In the case of the healing psychology with film group, emotional intelligence, utilization of sensitivity, and control of sensitivity were improved, while the personality psychology group improved understanding of self-sensitivity. Emotional perception clarity was improved in both groups, and cognitive empathy and perspective-taking empathy were improved in the healing psychology with film group. Overall, emotional intelligence, emotional awareness clarity, and empathy can be improved by education.
