This study was conducted to assess the mortality of Atlantic bluefin tuna due to stress by transportation and its time. Before the experiment, the minimum amount of dissolved oxygen in the transport container was investigated to prevent death due to oxygen deficiency. The average oxygen consumption of bluefin tuna (average body weight: 5g) was 0.0039 mg per minute. Bakkan and plastic bag were used to transport the fish. The experiment was carried out twice to investigate the effect of transportation time and distance (14 min, -7 km; 24 min, -14 km).
