Fishmeal supplies nutrients such as amino acids essential for fish growth, reproduction and immunity. Recently, the demand for the development of fish meal substitutes is increasing due to the high demand for fish meal and the resulting price increase, and edible insects, a natural feed source of various fish and poultry, are attracting attention as fish meal substitutes. In this study, Hermetia illucens was used as an fishmeal substitute, and fermented using GRAS strains Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactococcus lactis to induce the production of metabolites that help fish growth as well as the existing efficacy of the raw materials.
