Aim(s): The aims of this study were to test a mediation model identifying the mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between depression and post-traumatic growth (PTG) among patients with meningioma. The hypotheses in this study were that depression has a significant direct effect on PTG and depression has a significant indirect effect on PTG via resilience.
Method(s): This study used a cross-sectional descriptive correlational design. 146 patients diagnosed brain meningioma participated in this study. Data were collected by face-to-face interview from March 2019 to December 2019 in an outpatient neurosurgery clinic. Measurement included the Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS), Dispositional Resilience Scale-15 (DRS-15), Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The mediating effect was verified using model 4, a simple mediation model of Hayes’s PROCESS macro program.
