본 연구는 육상 지도자의 육상 지도 리터러시의 개념과 구성요소의 정립, 형성 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하여 현장에서 종사하고 있는 육상 지도자들에게 육상 지도 리터러시에 대한 기초자료를 제공하‘는 것에 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 질적 연구 방법을 활용하였고 귀납적 범주 분석 방법으로 결과를 기술하였다. 연구 참여자의 선정은 세평적 사례 선택 방법과 전략적 제보자표집법으로 초등학교 코치 1명, 중학교 코치 2명, 고등학교 코치 2명, 총 5명의 현직 코치를 선정하였다. 주된 자료 수집 방법으로 심층 면담을 활용하였으며, 문헌고찰, 반 구조화 설문지, 문서 수집을 활용하여 자료 수집하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 귀납적 범주 분석을 적용하였고 개방코딩, 범주화, 범주확인의 분석 과정을 거쳐 육상 지도 리터러시의 개념, 구성요소, 형성 경험의 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 육상 지도 리터러시의 개념을 개념 요소를 바탕으로 정립하면 육상 지도 리터러시란 “육상을 통해 길러진 자질과 능력을 이해할 수 있고 선수들에게 활용하여 지도할 수 있는 총체적인 능력”이다. 둘째, 연구 참여자의 육상 지도 리터러시 세부 자질 30개를 도출하였고 도출된 세부 자질 범주화하여 육상 지도 리터러시 구성요소 9개를 도출하였다. 도출된 육상 지도 리터러시 구성요소는 조직:조직 영향력, 내면:정신력, 의지:참을성, 사고:문제해결력, 신체성:실행주도력, 교수학습:지도응용력, 사회성:관계구축력, 자기존중:자아 성찰, 성인지 감수성:분별력이다. 셋째, 지도자는 선수들에게 기술 위주의 지도와 기능적인 경험뿐만 아니라 육상 지도 리터러시가 형성되는 경험을 할 수 있도록 지도하여 육상 지도 리터러시를 갖추고 육상을 통해 길러진 능력을 이해하고 선수들에게 활용하여 지도할 수 있도록 해야 한다.
The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data regarding track & field coaching literacy of coaches in the field by investigating the coaches’ establishment of track & field coaching literacy and development experience in depth. To achieve the purpose, the revealed data from an inductive category method, which utilized a qualitative research method, were described. As subjects for this study, a total of five current coaches as one in elementary school, two in middle school, and two in high school were selected by using reputational case selection and strategical informant sampling method. An in-depth interview was used as a main data collecting method, and literature review, semi-structured questionnaire, and data collection were performed. The analysis of the collected data was reviewed via the analysis process of open coding, categorizing, categorizing selection followed by inductive categorizing analysis. The concept of track & field coaching literacy, its components and development experience resulted from the study. The result that was analyzed along with the above research method and procedure are as follows Firstly, according to the concept elements of track & field coaching literacy, track & field coaching literacy can be established as “an integrated ability to understand the talents and the abilities that have been developed through track & field and to utilize it to athletes in coaching.” There are five concept areas that composed of this. Attitude and value, knowledge and understanding, professionality of track & field, interpersonal relationship, environment, and et cetera that have been developed on coaches through track & field careers and the coaching literacy means the ability to understand and utilize these as a whole. Secondly, there were thirty talents in detail in track & field coaching literacy of the subjects resulted and nine components of the track & field coaching literacy resulted by categorizing the talents in detail. The resulted components were group: group influence, inner side: mental strength, fortitude: patience, thinking: problem-solving ability, physical character: execution leadership, teaching-learning: coaching applicability, sociality: relationship-building power, self-respect: self-examination, gender-sensitive sensibility: discernment. The thirty talents in detail of which have been developed through track & field career and its coaching experience were resulted. In the development experience of track & field coaching literacy, nine development experiences were being one mind and one goal, hardening of inner side, the formation of fortitude, recognition of the unplanned situation and coping, overcoming of hardship, introduction to track & field and the improvement in the professionality, the interaction between communication and consideration, growing of the real “I,” confrontation of gender-sensitive problems and thirty-three experience in detail resulted.
