Purpose: To improve the reliabilities of weapons systems, we propose the implementation of the reliability growth model in the defense sector of South Korea.
Methods: We investigate the current laws and regulations related to the reliabilities of weapons systems. Moreover, the advantages of the reliability growth model are explained, and some guidance is provided for embedding the reliability growth model in the defense sector of South Korea.
Results: We propose implementation of the reliability growth model based on the current laws and regulations related to the reliabilities of weapons systems.
Conclusion: To enhance the availability and reliabilities of weapons systems, we propose revised regulations/rules for embedding the reliability growth model in the defense sector of South Korea.
