Introduction and Background
There is still an ongoing debate which treatment option would be more proper for patients with posterosuperior IRCT with high grade of fatty infiltration. The aim of this study was to assess short-term results after LTT and SCR for patients with posterosuperior IRCT with high grade fatty infiltration and to compare clinical and radiological outcomes between two different surgical techniques
Material and Method
A total of 58 patients with posterosuperior IRCT were included. They were divided into two groups based for different surgical procedures; LTT group (n=36) and SCR group (n=22). Clinical outcomes were compared using ASES score, VAS, active ROM, and patient’s satisfaction, return to preoperative daily activity level. Radiological evaluations were performed to evaluate for retear of SCR graft and transferred lower trapezius tendon, acromiohumeral distance (AHD), progression of arthritis in both groups.
