In this paper, we first wanted to re-examine Maurice Merleau-Ponty"s reflection on perception, but we didn"t want to correct a previous interpretation or tendency to interpret it, much less to present an even newer interpretation. In this paper, the only goal is to reveal from one point of view what Merleau-Ponty"s thought of perception wants to tell us and what the sense of it is. For such work, we brought Merleau-Ponty"s thought into the context of two previous thoughts, of the Early German Romanticism, and Nietzsche"s thought, which concentrated on the work of “feel” in the broader sense.
In Early German Romanticism, Nietzsche and Merleau-Ponty are both in “nonmainstream” philosophy history, in the trend that lay emphasis on that work. I want to get closer to what Merleau-Ponty was trying to say by looking at what different insights he has shown with the German Romanticism and Nietzsche. Where it was necessary to talk about the German Romanticism and Nietzsche with Merleau-Ponty here, it was only to make one aspect of Merleau-Ponty"s thought clearer, not to compare the three movements of thought from any particular point of view.
