Currently, there is a great interest in cosmetics using natural resources because the use of synthetic materials is restricted. Therefore, it is important to use insects as natural resources. People are disgusted with insects, but they are used in health foods and functional cosmetics through various studies. In particular, Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans(SSM) has been studied to be effective in skin treatment and care. SSM are studied for antibacterial and antitumor, but the whitening effect of SSM is not known exactly. Therefore, we studied the whitening effect of SSM.
