Although studies on attachment to God and psychological well-being continue, it is not known through which psychological mechanisms an attachment to God influences psychological problems such as depression. The purpose of this study was to examine the moderated mediating effect of psychological flexibility through emotion dysregulation on the relationship between an attachment to God and depression. Participants were 310 church attendants, aged 18∼84, who completed an online survey. The results of the study are as follows: First, emotion dysregulation mediated the relationship between the attachment to God and depression. Second, psychological flexibility moderated the relationship between emotion dysregulation and depression. Finally, the indirect effect of an attachment to God through emotion dysregulation on depression was moderated by psychological flexibility. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of the study are presented.
