Report Errors
While “the Crisis of Novel” has long been in the issue, the fate of the Novel or Literature is in the problem. This is because “No Winner” has been frequently seen in the novel contests in recent years. The crisis of novels, considered to be the representative of Modern Novels, coincides with the crisis of Modern Literature itself, and finally we have reached a point where we should consider the present and direction of the writing arts. In this article, I want to summarize the award-winning novels for the last four years, and briefly discuss what is a new trend and what is a sign of change. In addition, we would like to look at the future of novels that are latent in today’s Korean literature, taking a closer look at what types of writing, that have not been visualized by the orthodox standards of novel theory, are being created.
