This study is to analyze the experiences of mild cognitive impairment(MCI) elderly people in a convergence informational technology(IT) music therapy program to improve cognitive function. The inclusion criteria were as follows; aged 60 to 88, a score of 22 points or higher on the Korean Mini-Mental Status Examination, diagnosed MCI and no use of hearing aids to play the musical devices. We analyzed the self-checklists and focus group interview(FGI) of 11 participants who attended FGI as well as the program using mixed analysis methods. The experiences in cognitive, emotional and physical aspects were related with the reinforcement of internal motivation and the awareness of active self-carer to prevent dementia. They experienced the synchronized and coordinated movements of the body including the brain, eyes, and hands playing with the devices. This multidisciplinary study may be provided as practical evidences for the development of musical contents in smart aging society.
