The purpose of this study is to analyze whether there are differences in perceptions of tourism activities between at day and at night for those tourists who have visited the Mokpo city and to suggest meaningful conclusions based on the results of the study, thereby discussing ways to revitalize mid-or small-sized cities such as the city. The survey was conducted by dividing into four tourism areas. Frequency analysis for characteristics of the sample, factor analysis for validity for the items about tourism activities at day and at night, and a paired t-test for the differences of perceptions of tourism activities between at day and at night were carried out. As a result, all tourism activities at night in the Mokpo city received significantly lower scores than ones at day. Therefore, it is important to provide those tourists visiting the city with tourism activities and products at night, together with a variety of food at night, for each tourism area in the city. Despite a few limitations of this study, recently this study provided interest in urban tourism and discussion to make the Mokpo city a famous tourism city that leads urban tourism in the country. A bundle of alternatives and strategies for booming tourism in small and medium-sized cities will be derived after many studies have been conducted on urban tourism.
