This study began with the idea that previous ‘teiuka’ studies had focused on the use or the function.
In previous discussions, there were a small number of active studies focusing on the classification of the ‘teiuka’ type. Thus, 149 examples were analyzed for colloquial data that could be referenced to the context of ‘teiuka’. This study is meaningful in that specific types were newly established, organized and reclassified after analysis.
These attempts to categorize the various types of ‘teiuka’ were intended to specifically reflect the actual use of spoken language.
In addition, the new type-setting and systematic classification of ‘teiuka’ will be provided to Japanese learners as a formative material along with meaning and usage to encourage effective communication. Ultimately, this study examines the new characteristics of ‘teiuka’.
In the future, l will collect more data to look at examples that have been found but have not been able to be identified in this study. I will also continuously analyze new types that have been discovered so far. Therefore, based on data from the formative classification of ‘teiuka’, I will also make more specific and balanced analyses of meaning and functions of ‘teiuka’.
