The purpose of this study is to design a consciousness of bioethics’ training program for nurses as a practical method of bioethics that can be used in nursing workplace. This researcher designed the Personalist Bioethics Education Program (PBEP) composed of two hours a week for 4 weeks as a learning process to understand and reflect on the concepts and the essential of personalist bioethics as a theoretical background. The educational goals include understanding the concepts of bioethics and personalist bioethics in the first class, understanding and reflecting on the concepts of life beginning and life respect ethics in the second class, understanding and reflecting on the concepts of life ending and bio-medical ethics in the third class, and lastly understanding and reflecting the processes of life and biotechnology ethics in the fourth class. The teaching method is a workshop for adults that includes lectures, reviews, activities, reflections, etc. consisting of the beginning (20 minutes), deployment (90 minutes), and termination (10 minutes). And, finally, consciousness of bioethics’ training program for nurses designed has been validated by five bioethics experts(CVI=1). The application of the consciousness of bioethics’training program for nurses designed in this study in the future will contribute to the establishment and enhancement of the bioethics consciousness of nurses, and in particular, will help expand the horizon of knowledge on personalist bioethics.
