This study’s purpose was to investigate the relationship between the perception of hospice and palliative care and the self-acceptance of nursing students. Participants included 307 nursing students, from two universities in two different cities. Data was collected from November to December 2018, through structured questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 Program, through independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and logistic regression. As a result, the relationship between two variables was found to be r=0.248 (p<0.001). Mean score differences in the perception of hospice palliative care against self-acceptance groups were statistically significant (t=-4.234, p<0.001). The results of the logistic regression showed that the probability of OR 2.055 (p<0.001, CI: 1.383-3.053) between the hospice palliative care perception and self-acceptance groups. To improve the perception of hospice and palliative care among nursing students, programs using various psychological variables, such as self-acceptance, need to be developed.
