The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the theater of Koryo Dynasty(A.D. 918~1392) in view of performance history through the overall inspection of San-Dae-Jap-Guek. San-Dae-Jap-Guek is one of the representative performances in the Koryo Dynasty and had been performed with the enormous court ceremony such as Palgyuanhoe, Yoendenghoe, Nare and others. San-Dae-Jap-Guek had performed by the actor groups of Gyobangyeogi, Changwoo, Sandaeakin on the two stages simultaneously : Gyobangamuhue was performed on ‘Dae(臺)’ and Japhi on ‘Jang(場)’. The method of performance with the confrontation of these two actions was brought to divide the stage and the repertories. This created the division of space(stage) and the theory of the divided aesthetics, which has been a character of the Korean traditional performance style. Theater and Stylization coexist at the place to meet the stage(Dae) and the space(Jang). The performance styles of Gabuki and Noh in Japan, or Peiking Opera in China support this theory. Especially, the parallelism with the stage and the space could be firmed by Koryo's San-Dae -Jap-Guek. It means that this performance was not a simple court ceremony, but one of the national festival which was spread out the whole city, GeGyung in Koryo.
