The purpose of this study is to find out the form of choreography which modern dance can access easily to the audience based on the analysis of the "Swan Lake" by Mats Ek. While the most root cause for audience going to the theater is for their refreshment(Sheldon, 1993), it is true that modern dance which turns against audience caused by the emphasis of the absoluteness of the truth confines to its own frame. On the other hand post-modernism arisen at western society in 1960 came to suggest new form of arts through the whole culture. As one of the form of creation, the recreation of the classics by parody began to try out and the form of parody, even though it's not a product of this age, developed to the form of discourse of post-modernism with change and enlargement of its concept. Thus, the recreation of the classics reached to have its identity as modern arts. Mats Ek‘s "Swan Lake" reproduces character's inner feelings, diversity of human relations and description of psychology in movements clearly. This study tries to access to the concept of play with the analysis of the movements according to the character's psychology using LMA. It is found out that the serious topics recreated to the antithetic comedy in its unique ideas like baldheaded swan and new movements through free pelvic movement. The choreographic style as mentioned above can be the form of expression that makes audience feel free aesthetic consciousness caused by approaching to concept of play. In conclusion, "Swan Lake" is an authentic modern dance in present generation which enhances the understandings of audience by including the play concept in the process of choreography and also encourages for creators to enlarge the methods of choreography. Hopefully, this study provides some contributions for our choreographers to become a corner stone for the globalization with our own themes.
