The traditional play of Tibet-Jang Hee(藏戲)-, is the existing form of temple dance and also the principal part of Buddhist civilization. The true nature of the Jang Hee is to drive away demon and plague, to invoke a blessing to a crowd of people and it is a kind of exorcising dance. Now, it is also important that Korean Royal dance are impaired under the rule of Japanese imperialism. Because the content and origin of the Jang-Hee are very significant wether they can lose their identity. After this, we should clarify the meaning of the mask's color and shape through inquiring into Jang-Hee mask's features, which will be the foundations to find out the Korean typical exorcising dance's other features. Likewise Tibet's old practice about dance to exorcise demons on New Year's holidays and to kill the enemy by dancing and approaching, there was an old, similar practice that the flower of youth in Sil-la dynasty killed the enemy's general by dancing with the sword. This is worth studying that this old practice only exist in the same time or they originate each other.
