Report Errors

The Korean government has exerted effects on Korean financial cooperatives, with ongoing influence. According to discussions on the relationship between government and cooperatives, these facts imply that the Korean government has had a negative impact on the identity of the financial cooperatives. Bearing this in mind, this paper aims to examine the identity of Korean financial cooperatives, paying attention to member participation, control and autonomy. Korean researchers have thus far not examined these issues, but considering that the identity of Korean financial cooperatives has been weakened and that government intervention can further weaken their identity, we cannot overlook these issues.
