Given the rapid economic growth and structural change in Korea, as major challenge and require new adjustments in business of regional agricultural cooperative. This paper attempted to verify the causes of Business Growth of Regional Agricultural Cooperative (BGRAC). The present study found that the number of small (less than 1 ha) and large (more than 3 ha) farmer inclined respectively from 64.4%, 1.4% in 1980 to 66.5%, 6.9% in 2006. The portion of full time farm-households in the total farm-households inclined in urban area, while the rural area declined. The empirical results from the OLS(ordinary least squares) estimation of the relationships between the quasi-members/members ratio and banking business/non- banking business were significant in the 2000 period. In the course of urbanization, agricultural cooperative development, there have been substantial difference in the growth of business among region. The growth in business can be partitioned between three components-national growth effects, structural factor and regional factors. The adoption of regression analysis, 3 stage least squares and shift-share analysis for the examines the business growth of the agricultural cooperatives.
