It has been argued that A. Pushkin's Little tragedies(1830) focus on the theme of transition from unhappiness to happiness, and a masterpiece of them, "The Stone Guest" deals with a tragic fate of a hero(Don Juan) who has pursued the sensual love recklessly. But the meaning of the transition/fate related to Pushkin himself has not been fully illustrated.
This paper aims to show that "The Stone Guest" as a 'dramatic investigation' is an inner drama and a self allegory of Pushkin who was on the threshold of marriage or being 'adult' at Boldino in 1830.
Unlike the common view, in "The Stone Guest" Pushkin's poetic self is represented by Leporello as a 'middle ground' not by Don Juan, nor by Stone Guest. In Freudian terms 'Don Juan - Leporello - Stone Guest' in this drama corresponds the triad 'Libido - Ego - Superego'.
That is, "The Stone Guest" can be read as a inner drama of Leporello-Pushkin himself and at the level of textual unconscious, as explained in detail in this paper, it is also a farewell ceremony of Pushkin who transits from an adult-child poet like Don Juan to a real adult, or husband as a man of maturity guaranteed by marriage as a social institution.
