The world has less and less reasons to go to war. War is no longer a lucrative business. This is due, inter alia, to the historic transformation from the era of struggling to that of interdependence. Then, why is the world still fighting? This paper asserts that nations fight because of ‘inertia.’ Namely, we are accustomed to fight and we take it for granted to fight. Then how could the world be freed from the millennia-long habit of war? This paper says that the world political order should be changed to accommodate the advent of the era of interdependence.
