The motion picture policy in the Korean peninsula of the 1910’s was made by the colonial policy and the assimilationism by Japan. And it consisted of the part of the press policy. The purpose of the invasion of Japan to Korea was on a military, economical side. However, it was not able to be shown in front of other countries and the Korea had one race, an independent nation, a peculiar emotion, and a peculiar culture for a long time. Therefore it was not an easy thing to suppress Korean people’s antipathy and to obtain their agreement. Therefore Japan promoted the assimilationism. The control of the motion picture of the 1910’s worked out in a basic frame of the colonial policy. Of course, it was not systematic and not independent. It was administered by the police in region and it belonged to the control of other performance. However, being established the emperor’s colony rule and being influential the motion picture in Korea, the control of motion picture was led the control of other performances. On the other hand, the use of the motion picture of the 1910’s worked out in a basic frame of the assimilationism. The use of the motion picture included the activity of screening and production. Imperial household’s event and national event, etc. were the object to the motion picture. And it is method to add politics there skillfully and ‘the reproduction of the reality’.
