The aim of current study was to examine the muscular and fat area of abdomen and thigh, blood levels of inflammatory factors, 12 week exercise training-induced changes of these variables in 107 adult women. Body fat percentage, WHR, abdominal fat area, and thigh fat area of obese group were significantly(p<0.05) higher values than the non-obese group, whereas the ratio of muscular area to fat area in abdomen of obese group was significantly(p<0.05) lower than the non-obese group. Blood levels of CRP, fibrinogen, and HOMA of obese group were significantly(p<0.05) higher values than the non-obese group, whereas blood adiponectin concentration of obese group was significantly(p<0.05) lower than the non-obese group. Age was significantly(p<0.05) correlated with visceral fat area, the ratio of muscular area to fat area in abdomen. Blood levels of CRP and HOMA were significantly(p<0.05) correlated with the ratio of muscular area to subcutaneous fat area in abdomen. Obesity-related variables and HOMA were significantly(p<0.05) decreased after 12 exercise-training. Obesity and aging may be the independent factors of sarcopenia and inflammation, and blood CRP and HOMA are associated with sacopenic obesity. 12 week exercise training could be changed positive effects of body composition, HOMA, and muscular strength. There are possible that muscular area and blood inflammatory factors may be changed further with more prolonged exercise training.
