This study has the purpose of viewing for current perception of photojournalism(보도사진/報道寫眞). It is an unique conceptional term under the media photo field in Korea. As a term; Bo-do-Sa-Jin(photojournalism in Korean), during the period of Japanese occupation in the 1930s, it was born by Japanese photo critic-Ina Nobuo(伊奈信男) who had translated a reportage photography in Europe into Chinese character. Since then, Korea's photo-field has used the words take over and continue. However, criticism that the categories of photojournalism is ambiguous and improper has began at the same time. Focus Group Interview(FGI) had conducted for a study to know, how people recognize its perception by these circumstances; photojournalism used almost 80 years and lack of researches to understanding easily about it. The results are summarized with statements from FGI and 12 keywords; authoritative, newspaper photo, intention, political, facticity, visual perfection, flexibility with era, professionalism, intensifying competition, social influence, reliability and popularity. Photojournalism for today's perception that is mostly overlap with 'newspaper photos'. And it also wraps over strong awareness toward 'social influence', 'intention' 'political', etc and misunderstanding between 'objective' and 'fact'.
